Hi Fi Turntables

In spite of the universal success of the CD as a recording storage medium, hi fi turntables persist, and are even growing in popularity. A new generation of music lovers has grown up, who appreciate the hard to define ambience produced from vinyl records, played on a sophisticated turntable, through a tube amplifier.
Of course the lessons learned in the development of audio turnables from the early BSR, Collaro and Garrard designs to the pinnacles achieved in the '70s with designs such as Technics turntables.
Another factor in the persistence is possibly found in DJ equiment turntables, usually set up in pairs, and much more accessible for cueing, fading, effects etc.
